Central Coast Mariners - Inclusive Round
On Sunday the 11th of December the Central Coast Mariners took on the Newcastle Jets at the Central Coast Stadium in a derby round of the A-League men's season. This was an extra special match for the One Culture as we were able to host an Inclusive Zone for members of our Central Coast community living with a disability.
The Inclusive Zone enabled participants to enjoy the match in a low sensory and comfortable environment in a private suite. With a perfect viewing spot, we had a blast cheering the team on!
On top of this, the Central Coast Mariners asked our participants to be both mascots and half time players, which was an amazing experience for the avid football fans in our inclusive sports programs.
It's days like these and the happiness shown on our participant's faces, that make what we do and what we stand for all worthwhile. It was such a pleasure to host 60 people in our Inclusive Zone at the match and we look forward to doing it again later in the season.
