Blair Athol Racquet Sports Hub - Launch Event
One Culture Group have recently taken oven an under utilised racquet sports space in Blair Athol, Adelaide, that was crying out for some attention and attendance, now known as ‘Blair Athol Racquet Sports Hub’ or ‘BARSH’ in short.
The aim of this takeover is to redefine the way that a sports club runs and open up the space to everyone and anybody in the local community. We want to remove barriers faced by many, whether that be their race, age, culture, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation or financial status.
The key difference that will set this club apart from others is that participation is the priority instead of competitions. As a result the space will see a diverse mix of sport playing models. This means play will range from private coaching, junior group development, social play, mixed play (with other sports) and competitive play models too. There will also be on-going disability programs held at the club too.
This club will be based on a sustainable model in which One Culture have committed to providing low-cost play and support for financially challenged families to participate through reduced fees. The only barriers we want people to face is the net in-between them and their apponent!
Come along to witness the freshly revamped space yourself and join us for the launch day - 26th November, 1pm - 3pm at BARSH, Lionel Avenue, Blair Athol.
This event will be a great day of fun, where participants can try their hand at tennis, pickleball and table tennis. There will be giveaways, music and a free bbq lunch too. It’s a fantastic afternoon for the whole family.
