Meet Maurice, our Physiotherapist
Maurice is one of our physiotherapists with a passion for empowering and assisting those with disabilities to achieve their goals.
Maurice graduated with a Bachelor's of Physiotherapy from UniSA in 2018. He previously worked in private practice where he worked with the general population of all ages as well as NDIS participants with a wide variety of different conditions and disabilities. He also has worked with the older population in his aged care role in which he assisted his clients to improve their independence, mobility and managing their pain.
Maurice values the importance of active management of conditions through tailored goal-focussed exercise rehabilitation. He is passionate about making long term benefits to health and general well-being. Maurice is also very experienced in various manual therapies for managing pain and treating various conditions through his private practice work. Maurice loves to make connections and build professional friendships with all his clients and colleagues.
Meet Amelia, our Exercise Physiologist
Amelia is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who is passionate about helping people with disabilities participate in physical activity and exercise to improve their health and achieve their goals.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours) from UniSA in 2021 where she then relocated to Kadina for 12 months. She travelled around the Yorke Peninsula working with a range of patients with various chronic conditions and disabilities. During this time, she developed a strong passion for working with people with both physical and intellectual disabilities and neurological conditions.
Amelia is very passionate about the importance of physical activity for managing chronic conditions, musculoskeletal pain and for general health and wellbeing. She enjoys working with people to educate them on the benefits of physical activity and to help in creating long term healthy habits and sustainable exercise programs. Amelia loves building relationships with clients of all ages and helping them to improve their abilities and achieve their goals.
Meet Scott, our Allied Health Assistant
Scott is an Accredited Exercise Scientist and has a sound understanding of the human body and how exercise can help. This enables him to have a particular set of skills that help support Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists with participant’s exercise programs.
Having a football background, sports and exercise has been a huge part of his life. Being an Allied Health Assistant allows him to support and help individuals gets back to doing things they enjoy, whether that be a particular sport of physical activity.
Scott has fresh ideas and enjoys new experiences working with all of our participants who come to the One Culture with specific needs. His aim is for everyone to have fun and look forward to their sessions. Scott has a fantastic ability to develop friendships with everyone that he works with.
Meet Michael, our Allied Health Assistant
Michael has recently completed a Bachelor of Paramedic Science and is currently undertaking a Master of Physiotherapy at Flinders University. He has three years of experience working as a Disability Support Worker where he supported clients with a variety of needs within the community.
His goals as a One Culture Allied Health Assistant are to work with clients to help ensure they meet their goals and have the best possible outcomes. He will do this by delivering exercise interventions that are not only safe and effective but are tailored to the individual, as well as fun and engaging.
